Chinese Art and Artifacts Display

These collectors of Chinese art and artefacts required museum quality accommodations in which to display and maintain their collection in a two story space also used for the reception of guests. MARKNADEN responded by incorporating the collection into the formal staircase. By creating a series of glass casings and shelving units throughout the perimeter of the staircase, the art pieces became an integral part of the movement between the two floors. The combination of art and artefacts with a stark modernist environment and the functional requirements of the space make a warm and efficient space that equally serves all its required uses.
